Sourced internationally from designs to materials to construction, nue works with Europe, Brazil, Vietnam, Hong Kong and even Africa. From conceptual sketches of ideas, these are then translated to lovely and stylistically innovative collections complete with details like sculpted heels, colour-treated skins and stylishly added accessories. The collections are forward-thinking and trend-setting, appealing to the fashionistas of today. The nue Design Collictive – a group of cutting edge designers work on 4 major collections each year. Only 80 pairs are produced per design over 8 sizes (34-41).

Intoducing the limited edition Arts Collection by nue

Embroidered insole is a tradition that has been passed down for generations is the Chinese culture. With deft fingers, women folk would transform scraps of cloth into exquisite embroidered insoles. Every stitch reveals the sentiment of the sewer : girls professing their fondness for boyfriend; wives declaring their love for husbands. Flowers, birds and animal patterns adorn the insoles, fashioned with the belief that they bring love and blessing to the wearer.

Nue takes it to a contemporary level of today; with tongue-in-cheek designs that border on fantasy. Recognizable pop art designs depicting material realities of everyday life and even Chinese propoganda poster elements can be found in its quirky insoles.
